Belgium does have a history of terrorism and more so in the past decade and this has included two ISIS suicide bombings occurring at Brussels Airport in Zaventem, and one at Maalbeek metro station in central Brussels. Brussels was also the base of operations for the group that carried out the 2015 Paris attacks.
In relation to crime, most areas of Belgium have low crime levels, but this is of course elevated in the cities, as with any European country.

Belgium is a highly developed country with great infrastructure and connectivity with the rest of Europe, making it ideal for business. Language can be an issue, in Belgium there are two very distinct groups, the Dutch-speaking Flemish and the French-speaking community. This is split about 60% Dutch-speaking and 40% French-speaking. English is widely spoken in the Business community.

Intelligent Protection provided Close Protection and Residential Security services for a female client and her children, whilst she was going through a very acrimonious divorce.
Threats of violence had been made to our client from her former husband, he had also made threats to take the children.
We worked very closely with our client, providing both male and female close protection officers, as well as providing Residential Security and fitting CCTV. Our team leiased with the local police, as well as advising the school on the risk and what mitigation measures we had put in place.

Immediately following the November 2015 terror attacks in Paris, France, Intelligent Protection was contacted by a US (Jewish) client who's company has meetings to attend in Brussels. Our client's firm were very nervous and had a clear duty of care to ensure that their CEO and team were going to be safe.
There were concerns at the time that further attackes would be carried out in Brussels, as it has emerged that a there were terrorists cells operating out of Belgium.
We provided the client with a full Security Risk Assessment and Travel Risk Assessment; also providing both overt and covert close protection to the client and his party, to enable them to carry out their business trip safely and with peace of mind.

Yes, Intelligent Protection has a vast network of female bodyguards from around the world. Often clients with young families like to have the peace of mind that a gentle, more covert approach is being taken to their children's security. This is a role that lends itself well to female operatives.
We can provide a wide range of vehicle to suit our tasks and have a number of local partners that we work with. However, it's not just about supplying vehicles, it's more about the right vehicle and driver for the task at hand, paired-with a security trained driver.

All of our operatives are qualified to a minimum of First Person on Scene (International) (FPOSi) or First Response Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC3), British qualifications. They would also have received training during their Military or Police Service, many to a very high level.
All of our operatives carry first aid or trauma packs as standard, with larger packs in our operational vehicles.
English is widely spoken in Belgium, however, if you require specific languages to be spoken, please inform us. All of our operatives in Belgium speak English as standard as well as their native language. Many are multilingual, adding value to the service that we are able to offer.
